Cell phones and brain damage
p2pnet.net news:- Do you list yourself among those who believe their brains are being irradiated not by aliens, but by cellphones?
And if that’s so, do you also believe mobiles should have dosage warnings on them?
If you answered Yes to either or both questions and you’re in Germany, you’re out of luck.
“There will likely be no labeling in the near future of low-radiation mobile handsets, says Heise Online.
“On Wednesday the majority of the Committee on the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety of the Bundestag, the lower chamber of Germany’s Federal Parliament in Berlin, rejected a proposal by the opposition Liberal party (FDP) to ask mobile phone manufacturers to commit voluntarily to indicating by way of a label the radiation levels of handsets. The opposition Green Party’s proposal to make such labeling mandatory was also rejected.”
Apart from the fact none of the groups felt there was enough proof to suggest “electromagnetic radiation” from cellphones produces “sickness and disease in humans,” they alos, “pointed to difficulties that might arise in the domain of international competition, if such labeling were to occur,” says the story.
A year ago a Swedish study said using mobile phones over a long period of time could, “raise the risk for brain tumors“.

Bad for business? Say no more. And those cell phone companies might feel like there could be some liability issues if they are forced to label their products as dangerous, ya think?
