Manhunt 2 a, ‘fine piece of art’
p2pnet.net news:- Adults Only Manhunt 2, banned in Britain and the Republic of Ireland, and under scrutiny in the US, is a “fine piece of art,” according to its publisher, Take-Two Interactive, which retails the video game through Rockstar Games.
Parents and consumers should be able to make their own choices once they are informed about a product, The Age has Take-Two chairman Strauss Zelnick declaring, going on:
“The Rockstar team has come up with a game that fits squarely within the horror genre and was intended to do so. It brings a unique, formerly unheard of cinematic quality to interactive entertainment, and is also a fine piece of art.”
MHII was down for a July 10 release for Sony’s PlayStation 2 and PSP handheld, and Nintendo’s Wii, “But the game’s fate is unclear because Sony and Nintendo do not allow “Adults Only” content on their systems,” says the story.
“Take-Two’s Grand Theft Auto III is blamed for inspiring two brutal murders in California,” says p2pnet, “a Haitian civil rights groups sued Grand Theft Auto: Vice City because they said it instructs players to “kill the Haitians” and awards points for each kill; and, after blatantly lying about the animated Hot Coffee sex ‘game’ hidden in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Take-Two Interactive was forced to reclassify it M for Mature.”
Both Sony and Nintendo, “have announced that they are officially refusing to allow the game’s release in the United States in its current state, unless the AO-rating is changed on appeal,” says the Wikipedia.

San Andreas was re-rated AO, until Rockstar released an M-rated version that didn’t have the Hot Coffee minigame.
