p2pnet.net News:- On his So Sue Me blog, Jon Lech Johansen notes Apple is doing its best to core PlayFair.

But while Apple’s lawyers are writing C&D missives to earn their enormous fees, Johansen has released another app which isn’t dissimilar to the one that has Jobs’ knickers in a twist.

Johansen says he’s not mirroring PlayFair “because it’s licensed under the GPL, but links to mp4v2 which is licensed under the MPL which isn’t GPL compatible, although PlayFair’s creator could easily fix things by changing the license of his code to MPL, says Johansen.

And, he says, at 05 mb, the PlayFair tarball is way too much.

Hence, “I give you DeDRMS. Tarball is 10 KB. 210 lines of code. Written in C# using MonoDevelop.”
