Meet Deepnet Explorer
p2pnet.net News:- On first blush, it looks good. It’s certainly the right idea at the right time, particularly considering the bad press Windows has been getting lately.
We’re talking about Britain’s Deepnet Explorer, a web, p2p and news aggregation browser built on the IE engine that lets you surf, share and download Gnutella files, and check out your rss sources, all at the same time.
And it’s guaranteed free of Adware, Spyware or any third party software.
“Deepnet Explorer is secure and does not allow any third-party plug-ins,” the company’s Anneli Ritari told p2pnet. “We prefer to develop and build in the features instead of enabling plug-ins, especially as plug-ins could contain Spyware/Adware and viruses.”
It works fine as a browser. It’s a fast loader, and it looks good - clean, functional, customizable.
Because Michael Moore says it’s OK, we did a search for F911 - Fahrenheit 9/11 - and Yep. There it was. We also did a Spidey check - for purely educational purposes, naturally - and there it was.
Britney Spears’ Everytime is currently Number One on the p2pnet File Share Top Ten and it, too, came up no problem.
We’ll bring you more on Deepnet Explorer later.
For now, if you try it and you want to do a review, send it here - and don’t forget to add your name or nick.
