It’s always fun to cheer when someone whos lifestyle we detest get caught. But take a second look: somehow, the idea that a person can be jailed for looking at a picture is pretty scary to me. Isn’t that what downloaders of movies are doing? This guy was apparently not raping or mutilating kids, he was downloading pictures, admittedly pictures I wouldn’t want to see, but pictures nevertheless. Once you make looking at something or knowing something a crime, it’s pretty hard to limit the extent of enforcement. If an mp3 downloader had been gulled by the same worm, would we be gloating over the outcome? The trade orgs certainly would.

Child porn is child porn no matter if you make it or looking at it.
It is NOT a victimless crime, and if you download this and are very well aware of what you are doing, that makes you a dirty scumbag in my book.
I don’t feel sorry for that guy, he’s got what he deserved. People who are into child pornography should be kept off the streets, period.

There are people responsible for the pictures and this man is providing a market for them. Someone (the children) are therefore being abused. If he was just using his imagination, though the thought is abbhorent, he still isn’t harming anyone unless he acts on those fantasies (which is another issue altogether).

there should be a clear difference in a casual entertaining movie and child pornography. If you compare the two on the same scale, please, do us all a favor and DONT HAVE KIDS
