The Pirate Bay: home again
p2p news / p2pnet: It looks like The Pirate Bay is back home again. It had to move because the Swedish police raided their servers. But, after a short stay in The Netherlands the torrent tracker returned to their provider ‘PRQ’ in Sweden.
At least, that’s what the ip info tells us.
Another point of interest is the reverse DNS that sends out a clear message to the MPAA and their friends:
hey.mpaa.and.apb.bite.my.shiny.metal.ass.thepiratebay.org.
All the controversy surrounding The Pirate Bay initially doubled their traffic, but it’s now back to normal.
In the meanwhile, the Dutch anti-piracy organization ‘BREIN’ successfully threatened TPB’s new provider ‘Nforce’ to stop hosting the controversial torrent tracker. However, this seems to be irrelevant now, since The Pirate Bay has returned to its base.
I guess the Swedes will probably think twice now before they take action, considering the negative reactions that folowed the previous attempt to take down The Pirate Bay.
